Terms of Use
This is a translation. If the language versions differ, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
These Terms are an agreement between you and MEGASOUND AI TECHNOLOGY LIMITED (“we”, “us”) about your use of the iiiGua app and related services (the “Service”). By ticking to agree or by continuing to use the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
The Service casts readings using the traditional rules of King Wen six-line divination (Najia): you draw lots in the app (or enter lot numbers manually), and our servers lay out a reading card and a full chart for the time of the cast and keep them in your journal. Some features require a subscription or purchase; what each plan includes is shown in the app.
2. For reflection only
- Readings, charts and explanations are the output of traditional I Ching rules. They are offered for cultural learning, entertainment and self-reflection, and are not predictions or guarantees about the future.
- The Service does not give medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment or other professional advice. For important decisions about health, safety, legal matters or money, use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional.
- You are responsible for decisions you make based on the Service and for their results.
3. Accounts and age
- The Service is for people aged 16 or older; if you are under 16, you need the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Give accurate sign-in details and keep your device secure. Actions taken with your account are treated as your own.
- You can delete your account and all of its data in the cloud at any time in the app under “Me › Delete account”.
4. Your content
The questions, notes, nickname and avatar you enter remain yours. You allow us to store, process and display them as needed to provide the Service. You confirm that you have the right to upload this content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
- Payments are handled by the Apple App Store; prices are as shown on the purchase screen.
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in “iPhone Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions”. If a free trial is offered, you will be charged automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase that does not renew and stays valid for as long as we provide the Service. Whether plans or features introduced later are included in the lifetime plan will be stated when they are introduced.
- Refunds follow Apple’s policies. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
- Paid features follow the purchase status confirmed by our servers.
6. Prohibited conduct
You must not: crack, reverse engineer or interfere with the Service; call the Service in bulk by automated means or try to extract its charting rules or data; impersonate others; upload illegal, infringing or malicious content; or resell or commercially exploit the Service without authorisation. If you do, we may suspend or terminate your account.
7. Intellectual property
The Service’s software, charting rules and their implementation, interface design, images and text belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the personal use these Terms allow, you may not copy, adapt or distribute them without our written consent. Public-domain material such as the classical text of the I Ching is not affected.
8. Changes and interruptions
We keep improving the Service and may add, change or stop some features. Casting a reading needs a connection to our servers, and the Service relies on networks and third-party services (SMS, email, sign-in, payments), so it may occasionally be interrupted or delayed.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before the event. Consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the law where you live are not affected.
10. Apple
These Terms are between you and us only. Apple is not a party to them and is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction. Mandatory rights given to you by consumer protection law where you live are not affected.
12. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we will update the version number and ask you to confirm again in the app.
